Air Defense Missile Weapon System

The air defense missile weapon systems is composed of medium range interceptor (LY-80 series against aerial vehicle and anti- ship missile) and short range air defender (FB series and FN series) with an envelope of 10-20,000m altitude and 0.5-70km slant range, which constitutes a national or area defense system for area air defense, point air defense, fortification air defense and marching air defense. Featuring quick response, strong anti-jamming capability, highly automated fire control, good compatibility for joint combat mission, high maneuverability, easy operation, simple maintenance and battle proven performance, the air defense missile systems are the best choice for modern air defense needs.

FB-10

OVERVIEW

FB-10 is a mobile short-range and low-altitude missile weapon system, which is mainly deployed at front combat area or rear concentrated area to protect the covered army. It accomplishes air defense mission when accompanying by protected army to conduct various operations like attack, defense, marching, concentrating, and deploying. By using IR imaging guidance system, FB-10 is a kind of “fire-and-forget” missile with strong capability against multiple targets.

MAJOR FEATURES

  • IR staring image guidance of 4th generation air defense missile, with long detection distance and strong anti-jamming capability
  • Strong combat capability of the single vehicle, with integration of search radar, command and fire control system, turret servo system and fire unit
  • Short reaction time and high mobility
  • High automatic running & operation during marching / driving
  • Compact size, high reliability & maintainability
  • Flexible tactical application options
  • Modular design & being compatible with different vehicle platforms

SYSTEM COMPOSITION

The System composition includes 6 firing vehicles (FV), in which the radio station in any FV is set as command and control node whose control console operates command and control software. And other 5 FVs act as firing nodes, which operate fire control software.
